A Handbag!!

This is my favourite buy of last summer. We were in Rouen, a French city which we love and visit often. We were staying there for a couple of days before moving on, but were going to return at the end of our holidays. I saw this bag in one of the little boutiques that I frequent, and although it spoke to me, I didn’t buy it straight away. I wanted to make sure I desired it that badly, and plus, I thought I’d hold off in case I saw it cheaper somewhere else. I didn’t even see it anywhere else, and couldn’t get it out of my mind. So it was decided, and I bought the bag upon our return to Rouen. It has turned out to be my ‘every day’ bag because I adore it so much and I’ve had many compliments on it. People ask me whose face is on it. I think it’s possibly a Japanese computer-generated image but I’m not entirely sure. I just know that I haven’t seen anyone else with one in Cambridge and that’s probably why I like it so much. I’ve always been an attention seeker! It is just starting to show some small signs of wear and tear, which is inevitable as it gets more or less daily use, but I’m hoping that when we next visit Rouen, I can perhaps get another one, or a similar one.

Hi fashionistas!

This is a blog for anyone of any age who loves fashion but refuses to be pigeon holed into a particular ‘dress for your age norm.’ I don’t dress for my age. I dress for my body shape, I dress in styles I like,  and I dress for the mood I’m in l that particular day. Which, as you will see, varies. A lot. (One day, a 60s chic, next a Victorian heroine. I always was a bit of a dreamer.)

I don’t listen to magazines which tell me that my hemline must be a certain length now I am over 50. I dress for me, and I dress for fun, because, hell, life can be boring at times and why shouldn’t we be a little bit flamboyant in the every day if we wish, whatever our age! I want to share my finds with like-minded people, and hopefully you will enjoy and contribute yourselves. Let the shopping begin!
